Dry-farmed and certified organic, this holistic, backyard farm bears pleasing blue-edge fruits rooted in Goldridge Soils – you can feel the love this site gets from the moment you arrive. Dry farming encourages smaller yields and greater intensity of flavor allowing vines to reach into the soil to extract the specific combination of water, minerals, and nutrients. This pocket Russian River vineyard embraces the rich biodiversity of Russian River working with the Sonoma County bird rescue center to rear young birds of prey, seeding new, healthy populations of barn owls and red-shouldered hawks.
2023 Auteur Labyrinth Pinot Noir
95 – Vinous | The 2023 Pinot Noir Labyrinth Vineyard comes from a site in the Russian River Valley. Gorgeous savory, floral inflections open first, spreading gently into a plush yet restrained framework. The 2023 has ample inner tension, neatly offset by notably pure blue fruit. Rooibos tea, violet, tobacco leaf and grilled herbs flesh out in the glass, driving through a long, focused finish. Color me impressed.
