Best known for his long tenure with Henry Threadgill's groundbreaking ensemble Zooid, Ellman has performed and recorded alongside Joe Lovano, Vijay Iyer, Wadada Leo Smith, Rudresh Mahanthappa, Nels Cline, and Ledisi — a career that spans the outer edges of jazz, hip hop, and global music.
