Chassagne-Montrachet
Situated at 240–255 meters on ancient Jurassic limestone, La Maltroie is one of Chassagne-
Montrachet’s most distinctive Premier Cru lieux-dits — its soils a complex interplay of white oolitic limestone and clay that give the wine both its structural tension and its generous mid-palate weight. La Maltroie sits within Burgundy’s “Golden Triangle” alongside Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault, yet carries an unmistakably Chassagne character: wildflowers and honeysuckle, ripe pear , almond, and a mineral-driven tension threaded through the finish. Our 2025 is shaping its structure through a traditional 12-month barrel program — a wine defined by the erotic appeal of limestone-rich terroir at its finest.
